Steve Rose publisher of the Johnson County Kansas Sun weekly news paper announced that he is running against Congressman Dennis Moore as a Republican Kansas Congressional district’s primary next year. ¶

Rose in the early days of the KCPT TV show Ruckus stated he had met President Ronald Regan and while shaking the President’s hand asked; ‘how do you like shaking hands with a young Liberal?’ ¶

When asked if he said that to President Regan on the old Jack Cashill & Mary O’Halloran radio show, Rose confirmed the statement. ¶

About an hour ago on the Shanin & Parks Radio Show (KMBZ 980) Rose confirmed the statement following it up with most young people are Liberal; Rose went on saying he was 21 years old at the time. ¶

Rose’s answer was ‘pat’ and sounded well rehearsed; did Shanin & Parks tell Mr. Rose what the question was before the caller (me) got to ask him directly by phone. The screener knew and apparently put the question on their computer screen for the on air talents. ¶
