Last night at an auction in Shawnee Kansas I met a gun store owner and naturally the conversation turned toward the 2nd Amendment, guns, ammunition and the legally carrying of a concealed hand gun.
This gentleman besides owning a gun store is qualified to teach CCW classes for both Kansas & Missouri which he does every weekend. There’s nothing particularly unique about this except he supplies both weapons & ammunition for the shooting qualification
Normally I’ll fact check everything that goes into this forum; I tried to this time too, without success (yet).
My new friend told us his business was good and the sale of firearms ‘brisk’ which means his calling into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) for permission to complete the sale of a gun was also vigorous. However, he noticed that more than the usual number of applications called in was being put on hold by NCIC.
Why?
You might be surprised if you ask the question ‘why’ particularly when you ask it of a person who could give you an answer; my gun store owner friend apparently did just that of a women on the other end of the phone at NCIC when another applicant was put on hold.
According to the information given by the unnamed female of NCIC; ‘every fifth application is being held up’, why our gun shop owner asked, the answer came as a surprise from the NCIC lady on the other end she didn’t know why but ‘it came from higher up’.
I’ll keep digging for corroboration.
