My little blog is just that, a little blog, “Discover The Networks” is the ‘real deal’ my guess is you will find the information there invaluable.
The web site

ICE Air, One Way Tickets Only

Illegal immigrants get one-way trip home on ICE Air
By ERIC PALMER
The Kansas City Star
Illegal immigrants, shackled at the wrists and ankles, were searched last week before boarding an ICE Air flight at Kansas City International Airport. On international ICE Air flights, all nonviolent, noncriminal passengers have the chains removed.
The MD-80 that took off Friday from Kansas City International Airport carried about 120 passengers. Some were headed for Mexico, others to Central and South America.
Once off the ground, food and beverages would be served.
The flight was one of up to 180 flights flown each month by Kansas City’s only locally based airline. While most are to Central and South America, others are to such exotic locales as Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Palestine.
Yet most Kansas Citians will never get a seat on one of the flights — nor would want to.

Texas Justice

On November 12 and 13, 2008,( twenty months into their sentences), former border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean were re-sentenced in El Paso by Judge Kathleen Cardone to their original eleven and twelve year sentences. Their prosecutor, U.S Attorney Johnny Sutton of the Western District of Texas, said he was satisfied with the outcome, saying it was a righteous prosecution. The agents were charged with violating the civil rights of drug-smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila as he eluded them, carrying nearly 800 pounds of drugs. He refused to stop at their commands, then suddenly turned and pointed a shiny object at them which they thought was a gun: in a split- second decision, they shot in self-defense. They were charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime; although 924 (c) of the criminal code is intended to punish armed felons in the commission of a crime, not the law enforcement officers who apprehend them, said Congressman Ted Poe. The first time it had ever been used against law enforcement officers was in the Ramos/Compean case, carrying with it a ten year mandatory prison sentence. Prosecutors gave Osvaldo immunity for his criminal activities in exchange for testifying against the agents, but he broke his immunity agreement when he made another ( successful) drug-run across the border three months before the trial. This was sealed from the jury. Osvaldo was portrayed as an inexperienced one-time offender, whose motive was to buy medicine for his sick mother. The jury believed him, as the prosecutors hoped they would. Agents Ramos and Compean didn't get a fair trial, because the prosecution withheld evidence which would have discredited Osvaldo. This happened in an earlier case to border agent David Sipe, charged by the U.S. Attorney's office for "use of excessive force" in arresting a human smuggler. The smuggler was given immunity for his crimes and 80 thousand dollars in exchange for testifying against Agent Sipe. Several years later, Sipe was granted a new trial and acquitted. Americans can show their support by purchasing an American flag from their senators-- asking that it be flown on Friday, January 16, at the U.S. Capitol in honor of Ramos and Compean. Flags may be ordered from Senator Pat Robert's website under "constituent services."The families of these agents are hoping that hundreds of American flags will fly from the Capitol on that day and they should, we should support them!

1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
3. I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.
4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.
5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recogniz ed the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?' &n bsp;The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.'
6. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my shotgun.'
7. Beware the man who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!! But wait, there's more! I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of someone evil comi ng into your house?' My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.' To which I'll add, having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is like having a car in the garage without gas in the tank.

From The Kansas City Star's "Letters"

Only Congress can change things

Barack Obama won’t give us any tax breaks or improve our quality of life. Only Congress can give us tax relief, and only we can improve the quality of our lives.

It was Congress that gave oil companies those big tax breaks — the same Congress that bailed out Wall Street bankers, and the same Congress that’s being hoodwinked into bailing out the automobile industry.

Only Congress makes the laws that rob you of your paycheck and profits with still higher taxes, more inflation of currency and stifling regulation.

Nancy Pelosi asked, "How do we end the ICE raids?

A Pelosi spokesperson said the Speaker had long believed that ICE worksite enforcement operations are ineffective and "unnecessarily divide families at the expense of children." (Id.) The spokesperson also said the Speaker "supports a bipartisan solution that protects our borders, enforces our laws, unites families and creates a path to legalization."

Berg v.Obama "Obama is an illegal alien"

The People Foundation for Constitutional Education, Inc.

Supreme Court Justice David Souter's Clerk informed Philip J. Berg, the lawyer who brought the case against Obama, that his petition for an injunction to stay the November 4th election was denied, but the Clerk also required the defendants to respond to the Writ of Certiorari (which requires the concurrence of four Justices) by December 1. At that time, Mr. Obama must present to the Court an authentic birth certificate, after which Mr. Berg will respond. If Obama fails to do that, it is sure to inspire the skepticism of the Justices, who are unaccustomed to being defied. They will have to decide what to do about a president-elect who refuses to prove his natural-born citizenship."I can see a unanimous Court (en banc) decertifying the election if Obama refuses to produce his birth certificate," says Raymond S. Kraft, an attorney and writer. "They cannot do otherwise without abandoning all credibility as guardians of the Constitution. Even the most liberal justices, however loathe they may to do this, still consider themselves guardians of the Constitution. The Court is very jealous of its power - even over presidents, even over presidents-elect."Also remember that on December 13, the Electoral College meets to casts its votes. If it has been determined that Mr. Obama is an illegal alien and therefore ineligible to become President of the United States, the Electors will be duty-bound to honor the Constitution.

U.S. Refuses to Aid Israel in Iran Attack

by Ze'ev Ben-Yechiel

(IsraelNN.com) Israel may soon be left with no realistic option to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities and no time to find another solution. The United States has turned down Israeli requests for military assistance in attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. This will hamper the tiny Jewish state in facing off alone against the much larger Islamic Republic, which is equipped with some of the latest military technology from Russia. As compensation, the U.S. has agreed to bolster Israel’s missile defense system.

Going Home?

By Mona Ghuneim New York09 October 2008

Months of slowdown in the U.S. economy already have reduced the amount of money immigrants and foreign workers in the United States send to family in their home countries. Add to that the recent weeks of financial crisis that have shaken the international banking system. From VOA's New York bureau, Mona Ghuneim talks to some of the immigrants feeling the pinch from Wall Street's woes.
