Scott Thomas Zielinski, in prison for robbing Nick's Party Shop in Clinton Township in 2007, is suing the owner and an employee of that store who shot him as he fled. ¶
The Macomb Daily reports that Zielinski is seeking damages in excess of $125,000, contending that employees shot him with a .357 Magnum and beat him while waiting for police to arrive. ¶ >snip< Acho (owner) told Clinton Township police his mother, nephew and cousin were working when Zielinski entered the store, put a knife to his mother's throat and stole money and cigarettes. ¶ >snip<

Kansas’s 3rd Congressional District & Map

In an internet release Congressman Dennis Moore of Kansas says in part: "and hear first-hand what my constituents at home are thinking and feeling about a number of issues, including health care reform." He must have been watching a lot of TV and surfing YouTube for Tea Party & Rally videos? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwChEMjz228

>snip< I truly appreciate hearing from so many of you on this topic – what’s working already, what needs to be improved or even concerns about what health care reform might mean for you. As Congress prepares to reconvene in early September, please know that I will be taking your comments and questions with me and will be talking to my colleagues about these issues. In fact, listed below are some of my goals for health care reform; goals that have developed out of the important conversations I’ve been having with you all month long. >snip<

Health Insurance Reform: What I FAVOR

Sensible, fiscally-responsible reform that does not add to our national debt—revenue neutral reform.
A public health insurance option, for those who:1) cannot afford their employer-provided private health insurance; 2) are uninsured, or; 3) are unhappy with their private insurance
Allowing you to keep your current private health insurance and doctor if you are currently satisfied
Ending the practice of discrimination based on pre-existing health conditions—insurance companies increase this practice each year
Improving Medicare for our seniors by eliminating co-pays for preventative care and closing the gap in prescription drug coverage known as “the doughnut hole”
Expanding the health care workforce, especially primary care physicians and nurses
Investing in preventative care and wellness efforts
Health Insurance Reform: What I DO NOT FAVOR

Increasing the national debt to pay for health care reform
Government intervention in personal medical decisions, including doctor and treatment choices
Insurance coverage for illegal immigrants
A single-payer system, like that of Canada, New Zealand and many European countries
Taxing the middle-class to pay for health care reform
Euthanasia or mandatory end of life counseling for seniors

Very truly yours,

DENNIS MOORE

Member of Congress

YouTube of Segment 1 - Congressman Dennis Moore Anti Health Care

Congressman Dennis Moore is a born again Liberal that campaigns as a middle of the road "Blue Dog Democrat". Today, August 22nd 2009 some 300 patriots that BEGED to differ with Moore's apparent stand on President Obama's health care proposal gathered outside his office in Overland Park Kansas.

Later in the day about 50 patriots stood with signs in front of Senator Clair McCaskill office in Kansas City Missouri. All was peaceful until a young man showed up and began a, lets say, a vigorous dialog with the anti McCaskill demonstrators. ¶ Police showed up, calmed down the young man and suggested he drive away, which he did.

Supporters of health care reform voice concerns outside Moore’s Lawrence office

Health care reform gets noisy with honk and wave protest
August 18, 2009

Lawrence residents on both sides of the health care reform issue lined the streets outside Dennis Moore's office to participate in a "honk and wave" protest. People voiced their opinions on the issue during the event "They're misrepresenting how many Americans are without health care and why they don't have health care," said Richard Fry, a member of the citizen advocacy group November Patriots. "They shouldn't be able to impose those things among the citizens."
Both sides are just hoping their arguments are heard.

There is an unconfirmed report from a reliable source who was in Lawrence Tuesday that one of the anti Obama Health Care demonstrators was accosted, pushed, shoved and his sign knocked to the ground by a supporter of Congressman Dennis Moore. Apparently MoveOn.org had operatives in the crowd says the Lawrence Journal.

“Health Care Reform”

It would appear our tactics are not going to have the slightest affect on Congressmen Emanuel Cleaver, 5th District of Missouri & Dennis Moore, of the 3rd District of Kansas. ¶
Our adjoining districts Congressman in the Kansas City area were on Public Radio Broadcastings KCUR 89.3 FM Up to Date with Steve Kraske of the Kansas City Star news paper. ¶
Of the eight people that was able to get through to Kraske and the Congressmen, only one man Richard Fry of the November Patriots asked a question that did not sound scripted for this (in my opinion) semi-infomercial. The answer was impressive in as much the Congressmen were able to give the page number that allegedly contained the answer. ¶
Billy Blogger (me) has not as yet confirmed the information on the given page #170 of HR 3200: ‘‘America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009” ¶ Saturday morning August 22nd 2009 in front of Dennis Moore’s office, Overland Park Kansas, I will be there with a new sign telling Moore that I will donate as much additional money as I can to his opponent and do what ever asked in order to defeat him next year unless he votes NO on 3200 or what ever comes on of congress.

” A public option “is not an essential element"

HHS Secretary Sebelius said Today that the Obama administration wants some competition with private insurers in health care reform legislation. >snip<
Echoing Mr. Obama’s Saturday comments, Sebelius also told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King that “what’s important is choice and competition.” A public option “is not an essential element,” the Cabinet secretary said today.

Congressman Moore's Web Site

Mr. John Goodman of Congressman Dennis Moore’s Kansas City Kansas office confirmed to BB this morning that the September 1st 2009 “Town Hall” meeting was cancelled earlier this morning. ¶
Mr. Goodman further stated by phone the event at the Cleveland Chiropractic College (Overland Park, KS) was scrubbed due to “more” threats against Moore and staff. According to Goodman “the police have been notified”. ¶

(A personal comment from BB) Are the threats real? I don’t know but what is known, another chance has been lost to hear Congressman Moore explain why he is supporting the Nationalization of our health Care system. Another chance has been lost to (possibly) ask questions of the 3rd District of Kansas’s Congressman. Another chance lost to impress upon Moore our utter distain of the Obama administration’s tactics and his participation. ¶

"TOWN HALL MEETING WITH SENATOR SAM BROWNBACK"

Tuesday, August 11 at 12:30 pm, Senator Sam Brownback, Republican candidate for Governor met with voters in a public forum/town hall style meeting at the Leavenworth County Fair Grounds in Tonganoxie Kansas. Senator Brownback was questioned by numerous individuals including one of our own MCDC volunteers and a former member. Link to video of some of the Q & A can be found above.

I am so sorry; Billy’s mind is once again wandering. I FORGOT! ¶
I forgot to mention Tuesday’s Leavenworth County Republican ‘Town Hall’ gathering at the Tonganoxie Kansas Fairgrounds. ¶
John Bradford Chairman of the Leavenworth County Republican Party was able to bring Senator
Sam Brownback, Republican candidate for Governor to the fairgrounds where the County Fair was being held. ¶ (click image to enlarge)
((video should be on YouTube today))

After Senator Brownback spoke to the 100+ American citizens gathered under a huge tent he fielded many, many questions from the audience which included our own Kathy Brown, Minuteman volunteer, Tom Stoffers of the November Patriots (and former Minuteman), veterans and just ordinary folk. ¶

Two issues kept being brought up by the questioners; the illegal alien and his cost to our country and the ‘health care’ activities by the White house & Liberals in our Federal Congress. ¶

Senator Brownback will most likely be the next Kansas Governor, BUT, he may need further education on whose responsibility it is (if) the Federal Government fails to do its job with the illegal alien. Brownback is a supporter of the southern border fence but appears his mind is made up that it’s a Federal problem not necessarily the states.

Our country does not want or need royalty or a privileged class; can you think of a group that makes laws of which they are not required to obey? I can!

Down load the below petition, fill it out and then mail it. That’s the hard part spending another 44¢ on those people. (right click, save picture as etc)

Representative Dennis Moore 3rd Congressional District of Kansas stated today he would not have ‘Town Hall’ meetings. He’s alleged threats and is fearful for his safety. In my never to be humble opinion, it’s not his safety he’s afraid of it’s you, his constituents and our awakening. BB

Representative Moore appeared at the Johnson County Kansas Community College in Overland Park this morning; he was met with a handful of citizens with signs questioning his allegiance to his constituents or Nancy Pelosi & Barack Obama. According to our photographer ‘Roger Thompson,’ it’s not us.

Later this morning volunteers were seen in front of Congressman Moore’s office asking the same questions. As usual, no response from Dennis Moore.

'Un-American' attacks can't derail health care debate’
By Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer
>snip<
However, it is now evident that an ugly campaign is underway not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt public meetings and prevent members of Congress and constituents from conducting a civil dialogue. These tactics have included hanging in effigy one Democratic member of Congress in Maryland and protesters holding a sign displaying a tombstone with the name of another congressman in Texas, where protesters also shouted "Just say no!" drowning out those who wanted to hold a substantive discussion.

Let the facts be heard

These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades.

Health care issue divides Lee's Summit crowd waiting for Cleaver

Hundreds of people for or against health care reform filled a Lee’s Summit coffee shop Saturday morning and lined up for blocks to get in.

Cleaver met privately with the constituents, mostly talking health care with them, and then left for another appointment.
One of our Minuteman Civil Defense Corps volunteers who lives in Emanuel Cleaver's district was present yesterday and writes:
"I was outside and never saw the makeup inside the building. It could have been 10 or 12 to one inside. It was hard to be sure on the outside because not everyone had a sign so I had to base my estimate on conversations I was able to hear, the signs I saw, and the people who participated in chants."
John S.
A former Minueman again who lives in Representive Cleaver's district writes:
"I was there! He stayed in a very small area, apparently wouldn't address the healthcare issues and spoke with a small crowd. There were hordes of people outside, for and against. There was a lot of discussion between everyone, pretty peaceful, but there was some shouting down to drown out the other side on occasion". >Leslie Holtz<

Petitions for US worker green cards down sharply
By ANABELLE GARAY
Associated Press Writer

The number of petitions from employers trying to bring foreigners to work permanently in the U.S. has declined dramatically over the last two years, an Associated Press review of government data has found. So what does the US Goverment do?

Opens the closed January 7, 2009 H2B visa applications, extends it to October 1, 2009. What is H2B anyway? and are there not enough Americans out of work to fill these needs?

The H2B working visa is a nonimmigrant visa which allows foreign nationals to enter into the U.S. temporarily and engage in nonagricultural employment which is seasonal, intermittent, a peak load need, or a one-time occurrence.

Jihad? How’s that working out for you guys?

The A-10 aircraft’s design is amazing. The 30mm cannon is located off center in the nose and the aircraft’s ammo is capable of penetrating an armored tank. Fuel tanks are self sealing in case of a hit. The aircraft can stop within 1500 feet upon landing. ¶
This video was taken from inside the cockpit of an A-10 by the pilot. It was a night view. What you see is from 9700 feet away (almost two miles). Four terrorists are walking along a street with no clue that someone is watching them from almost 2 miles away. ¶
You can see the gun camera shake a bit as the pilot fires his 30 mm cannon; then count about 4 seconds for the rounds to travel 2 miles. Every tenth round is a tracer, so the bullets you actually see are every tenth; they are getting hit with hundreds of rounds. ¶

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa
For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times.
A while back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.
Not only is that a tribute to the kids
but to their parents and their great mid-western values.

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. Link to Snopes.com Complete Pritchett Letter
