Arizona Regains Footing in Legal Battle Over Immigration Law

After suffering a major legal setback in the summer, Arizona regained its footing in court Friday when a federal judge dismissed parts of the U.S. Justice Department's challenge to the state's new immigration law and rejected several claims made by Hispanic activists and Phoenix police officers.
U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton's ruling on Friday struck down the federal government's challenge to the portion of the law that prohibits the transport of illegal immigrants.
It also rejected a challenge from Phoenix police officers and an advocacy group called Chicanos Por La Causa who argued that the cops could be sued for racial profiling if they enforced the law or lose their jobs if they didn't.
Bolton agreed with Arizona that they had no valid claim of immediate harm.

A Star Is Born in Kansas

>Snip< One Kansas race that deserves more attention than it might seem to deserve was that for secretary of state. Incumbent Democrat Chris Biggs ran against much reviled Republican aspirant Kris Kobach.

For those who are paying attention, it is not Moran, not Brownback, not Yoder who will emerge as the star of the party, but Kobach.

Kobach ran on the simple message, “Stop Voter Fraud.” The Kansas City Star mocked his message as trivial and the candidate as extreme. The Star had been merely parroting the line advanced by the local moderate Republican establishment since Kobach emerged a few years ago: he is too “scary” to win.

>snip< The wreck has arrived. No Republican beat an incumbent more soundly than Kobach beat Biggs: 59 to 37 to be precise. The liberal experiment is over in Kansas. The RINOs are on the run.

ICE Raids Kansas City Club

Last night at the Club Oasis on Southwest Blvd in Kansas City, ICE along with local police raided the night club which on Sundays advertises Latin music.  According to reports, some 200 people were detained and issued summons for not having ID another 20 arrested for warrents and felony records.  BB assumes that those arrested for having a record were illegal aliens.

Kansas ballot proposal would reaffirm right to bear arms

Link to:  Kansas and it's 2nd amendment  The Kansas State Rifle Association & Patricia Stoneking are working to insure our 2nd amendment rights, when in November, you the Kansas (legal) voter will have your say.  In case you hadn't noticed the federal government of late is taking the Constitution, it's amendments and warping them to suit themselves.

Returning in November

November 2nd 2010 in my opinion is one of the top three most important elections in our history.

The 1854 passage of “The Kansas-Nebraska” act began a debate (with violence) that lead to the election of Abraham Lincoln with less then 40% of the popular vote. You know the rest, a ‘war for states rights’.
Another election that ranks in the top three is the one held in November of 2008 which caused the ascension in January 2009 of Barack Hussein Obama. At this point the issues of his birth or religious preference matter little. We cannot allow ourselves to split like the 1860 Democrats which in part, got the other Illinois one term politician elected.
You may not have supported all the Republican candidates elected earlier this month but supporting ‘your’ party’s choice is essential. Stopping Obama’s maniacal race to Socialism is crucial to the future of the United States.
Having said that, it is my intention to take a break from this blog until after the election to devote as much time as I can getting the people elected that will help stop the spending, of this Liberal House, Senate and President. Remember these three names, Obama, Sotomayor & Elena Kagan. If you voted for him please think about what your vote help cause.
