A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION claiming sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over certain powers; serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates; providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed; and directing distribution.
>snip< WHEREAS, The scope of power defined by the Tenth Amendment means that the federal government was created by the states for the specific purpose of being an agent of the states; and

On January 15, 2010 at 9:30 am, the Senate Judiciary Committee will conduct a hearing on the Kansas Sovereignty Resolution, SCR 1615. The hearing will be in the new Hearing Room on the 5th floor, South Wing of the Capitol building in Topeka.
It is imperative the Senate see grassroots support for the 10th Amendment if any legislation is to go forward this year. Please plan to come and show your support for SCR 1615. The hearing may take 90 minutes, but they may be the most important 90 minutes of this session.

RALLY:
Following the hearing, there will be a rally at the historic Dillon House located across the street just West of the Capitol at 404 SW 9th Street beginning at 11:30. Hear from Senator Mary-Pilcher Cook, Kris Kobach, Congressman Todd Tiahrt and other speakers about the battle ahead for Kansas Sovereignty.
To reserve a box lunch for the rally, orders must be placed before noon on Wednesday, January 13th.
